Which apps you choose to guard are handled by Apple's Screen Time framework. iOS gives the app opaque tokens rather than a list of apps, and those tokens never leave your device. We could not tell you which apps you guard even if we wanted to.

The reflections you write in "your story" are stored on your device. They are the most personal thing in the app, and they are not uploaded, not read by us, and not sent to any third party.

To choose a clip for a moment, the app uses anonymised theme signals derived from what you have shared: the focus themes you selected, your current life season, and the triggers you named. These are short labels such as "focus" or "a busy season", never your written words.

• Clip search and playback: requests to our own service for the clips you watch, so we can serve the video and remember where you left off.
• Daily practice: if you use the optional daily practice, your first name (if you gave one), your mood and inner-state ratings, and the goals you selected are sent to Google Gemini to compose that day's wisdom text. Your reflections and your guarded apps are never included.
• Sign in with Apple: if you sign in, Apple gives us a stable identifier and, at your choice, an email relay address. We use it to sync your saved clips and history across your devices and to check your subscription.
• Subscriptions: purchases are processed by Apple. We receive purchase receipts through RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment details.

If you sign in, we keep your saved clips, your watch and gate history, and your subscription state, so they follow you to a new phone. If you do not sign in, all of it stays local.

We keep this for as long as your account exists. Delete your account in the app and we delete it.

This site has no accounts and no analytics or advertising trackers. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs of requests, which include IP addresses, for operational and security purposes.

There is one form: the founding member list. If you give us your email address there, we store that address and the date you gave it, and we use it to tell you when the app opens and what it costs. We do not sell it, we do not share it, and we do not add you to a newsletter. Every email we send carries a one click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete the address at any time by writing to info@shankaranpill.ai.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@shankaranpill.ai and we will act on it.

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app and update the date on this page.
